Shipping Info and Blue Sticker update

So.. here we are. Recovering from Post PR- blues...

We got our Passports yesterday with Blue stickers (how lovely ...!! ) and a small Booklet with information on settlement support.

And we shipped out our stuff today. The Shipping company gave an estimate delivery of whopping 80-110 days

My husband surprised me (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) at the last moment , by buying some cute dinner ware, glass ware and beautiful Pyrex bake n Serve sets, coz he knew we are gonna have some space left in the Lift-van. Those were always his last priority , rather, never cared abt such petty issues.. That justifies my happy-surprisey-emotional mixed mood now..

If it will be useful to any of you guys who are looking forward to ship things from USA to NZ, here is a little summary of our case.

Shipping Company- Rainier Overseas.
Depart - Missouri, USA
Destination - Welly, NZ
Less than a Container Load - Lift Van - 200 Cu.ft (Actual usable space would be a little less).
Cost- 17.85 per Cubic feet. Total - $3750.

Cost included the following services - packing, Loading, custom clearance in USA, paperworks, Custom clearance in NZ and delivery to residence in NZ, basic set up at home, and clearing debris.

Not included in the cost :- Penalties, Duties, cleaning/fumigation charges, additional clearing charges at the destination port , if any.

Insurance- $25 for $1000 worth of goods ( Compulsory )
Estimated Delivery - 80-110 days.

Service Quality : Good. (packing, loading etc )
Customer Service/ Promptness in reply/ Professionalism/ : So far so good.
Reviews : Good
Price : A bit Pricier than "U Pak We ship ". But competitive to "Contour Logistics ". We chose Rainier because they have a good experience in shipping stuff to NZ from here. Read positive reviews abt them here.

THanks for posting the shipping info. I'm afraid our will be much more because we've been told to get a 40foot...(wish we could stuff it all into a 20ft)...and we hope to use Rainier, too.

Another update while I thank you all Things are happening pretty fast. We have booked our tickets to NZ on 24 th of September and arriving Welly on 26 th afternoon.
