    Default Fox Glacier Plane Crash

Heck they say these things come in threes, lets hope there are no more disasters today. First the earthquake in Christchurch and now a plane operating the Fox Glacier tourist flights has crashed with 3 fatalities and one serious.

Condolences to the families of those that have perished in both these incidents.

Sadly I think that all 9 died (4 tourists, 4 empolyees and the pilot). Sounds like it was tadem sky-diving.

The third thing was earlier in the week with the collapse of South Canterbury Finance company.

That was awful, and sadly, rather overlooked after the quake. Yes, I think with the SCF collapse, the crash and the quake, I think the South Island has gone through enough. (not that I wish the same for the NI!)

Was really sad to hear about this. The pilot was a friend of an old school friend of mine....she's devastated, especially since her brother (who was one of pilots best friends) died in a Waikato skydiving accident back in 2007 around the same time we arrived in NZ

Our next door neighbours knew them well - thing to remember is that it was an aviation accident, not a sky diving accident.....
