Just search for "NZ CV format". I used a basic layout and it has served me sufficiently.

    - Introduction
    - Work History (very briefly)
    - Top 10 Technical Skills
    - Top 5 Soft Skills
    - Work Experience (in detail - responsibilities, achievements)
    - Education History (incl. any professional qualifications/training, e.g. MCSD, Cisco)

    Good luck!

Also mention the number of years with your technical skills. Its better to make a table with following format.

    Skill Type Skills Projects Years
    Programming JSP/CSS/HTML ABC 4
    CDE

    Programming Ajax ABC 2

    Database Oracle,SQL ABC 3

With the titles you'd have to put in, that seems like it would run to more than one page.

    1. Contact Details
    2. Objective
    3. Main Skills
    4. Relevant work experience with accomplishments (not responsibilities)
    5. Education & Immigration status

Doesn't NZ look for a longer CV? Is it different for IT? I have always found this part confusing.

M-Squared: Yes, the format I used allowed me to stretch my CV to 6 pages (initially 8, but even I found that too unwieldy).

Note that in my home country CV's are rarely beyond 2 pages, so it was quite a struggle to recall all the achievements in my work.

I also feel in NZ they want to read detailed view of your participation in your mentioned projects. So I feel 4 to 6 pages would be fine.

I had heard that NZ looked for a longer CV but I was told by a Migration Agent that this is no longer the case and that UK-style C.V.s were now more prevalent.
