    Default Identified Future Growth

I have a query in relation to the Identified Future Growth question F11 in the EOI form. I have an honours degree in Computer Science and 8 years experience in IT. Should I choose Yes to this question?

I am claiming points for an area of absolute skill shortage - question 12.

    Thanks
    Aidan

    Aidan,

I would probably say yes. But another thing to check is if your degree is exempt from NZQA assessment. If not, you would need to be assessed by them before you can claim points for it.

However, if you have enough points from the 8 years work experience, you might be able to skip the assessment.

    It really depends

    Zemien,

My degree is exempt and I have 125 points currently with selecting No to the Identified Growth Area. If I select Yes are there more checks taken on my work experience?

Not sure really if I should select Yes, it's kind of vague

Yes, if you select Yes it'll be subject to further checks as they need to verify it.

125 seems like a solid number to get ITA...

I haven't actually applied SMC myself so others will have a better idea.

    Hi Kelzer,

Maybe I can help. My OH has a BSc (Hons) in Computing from the Open University and our EOI was completed by The Emigration Group. F11 is 'no' for him and F13 is 'yes'. G3 is 10 years or more for him.

    Hope this helps.
