They say not to bring anything - but I would have normally taken or made something.




What is the normal way in NZ?

Normal thing here is to take a 'plate' could be a few snacks, sandwiches, a dessert.

It wouldn't hurt go back to them and ask.

it could be they genuinely don't need you to bring anything.

Doesn't need to be anything elaborate.

I was planning to take home made cakes (lots of kids going) and always take bottle of wine (hiccough) and a few little cocktail like sausages.
