Woo Hoo, we are here!
Arrived at Auckland on Saturday 23 October, into a lovely spring sunny day and labour day weekend
The the flights with Singapore airlines were excellent and the service also very good. We stopped in Singapore for 4 days to help break up the journey for our son. Singapore was excellent and well worth the stop, as was the Pan Pacific where we stayed. They even brought a cake to our room as it was my wife's birthday during our stay. Such a great gesture.
The last 4 days have been a bit of a blur.
We are staying in Parnell for a few weeks and went across to Mission Bay on Sunday, which was great. Although busy, due to the Labour day weekend, there was plenty of space on the beach.
I started work on Tuesday which was a bit of a shocker! Still getting used to the time change together with our son waking up at all odd hours is making the transition that little bit harder!
Impressions so far are very good, with pretty much all reports being spot-on. Great scenery, friendly people etc.
I've today been asked if I would consider a role in the Northlands, which was a bit of a shock as we had prepared to stay in Auckland for a few years and done all of our research there! Time for some serious thinking..
For all those still awaiting to come across, and from a real newbie to NZ, you are going to love it
