Default moving to dunedin - hopefully!

Can anyone recommend any removal companies from UK to NZ - all info. useful, even companies to avoid, horror stories etc!!
Also, still can't decide what area of Dunedin to live, want somewhere family friendly to rent, perhaps to buy eventually so don,t want anywhere too expensive, so have to move in order to buy somewhere again.

Also, not sure about what to do until our furniture arrives - if we rent unfurnished how do people manage without beds, etc as don,t want to buy stuff if it is coming from the UK.

Also, don,t want to rent furnished and then move again when furniture arrives - anyone else had experience of this?

In the meantime we are still waiting to hear if our application has been approved, its only been two weeks so early days yet, but we have job offers so hope to be fast-tracked - will keep you posted, would love to hear from anyone else in Dunedin or looking to re-locate to Dunedin, would be nice to exchange thoughts, worries etc ...

    Bye for now,

    Tracyj & family

    All the best,
perhaps for starters you could buy an outdoor dining setting and use it indoors until your furniture arrives, also there is a Mister Rentals in Dunedin for furniture.

Hi Tracy, there are two or three quite recent threads about areas in Dunedin. You might like reading them. When you evaluation is finished you just can ask more specifically. (Family friendly also depends on the age of the kids, pre-schoolers or teens.)

Living here now for more than four years - and love it here!
