Default Do companies close around Chinese New Year in New Zealand?

Hi, I'm thinking of visiting NZ to explore regarding the job market.

I know the entire country rests for holiday during Christmas. How about during Chinese New Year?

Will the companies still be open?

Chinese New year Y2011 falls on 3 and 4 Feb which is Thu and Fri.

I don't know of any business here in our region that completely closed for this.
