Oh phew, that must be such a relief...to finally not feel in limbo and to be together again. Congratulations!

Great news that Jane is heading over........fingers crossed that something positive comes out of the "nutters" visiting.

Have you organised anything for your birthday or is it a quiet evening in in front of the tv and a ginger beer?

    Thanks all.

@Catt - Will be the first day of the bike tour. So about 145km cycle to Opotiki. Flat though, so shouldn't be too bad.

Crown packing is going to be a bit dicey as there's more snow predicted for xmas week, and it's a 3.5 day pack starting on the 20th December. Also, they can't containerise outside the house, so it's a shuttle from Glossop over the M62 to Leeds. Hmm.

Ah well, what will be will be, and I'm sure it will all get sorted. Starting to cancel lots of things now.

Oh, and second letting agent round at lunch to have a look on the basis that we're going to be letting in the New year.

Non buyers came round and were there for over an hour. Apparently they've been boxed and waiting to move since August and have exchanged with a completion date of 14 January. So we'll see.

May have a tenant lined up though if it doesn't happen.

Hire car issues are a bit of a pain as over Xmas then they are going through the roof. Sadly the hire company we've been using since May (Salford Car Hire, superb) doesn't have any depots down sarf, so we need to swap to Avix / etc for the one way hire. Slightly daft that it's £200 cheaper from the 17th to the 5th than the 22nd to the 5th.
