Salary Scale for jobs

Each time during interviews, I've been asked what are your salary expectations? ....I'm not there but hence can only obtain a rough idea from the net. So I've googled for salary scale for IT auditor/Information security professionals and i got some info from the recruitment firms salary surveys...but i would like to hear from real life experience.

I thought it would be great if we could start a thread on typical Salary scale for jobs for x years of experience. This would help outsiders have an idea of what to expect.

Can someone start for IT auditors/IT Security and others can add-on.

I think "Hays NZ" also has salary reports on their website, their stats were pretty much aligned (practically).

I've also downloaded the hays salary survey. It's good to learn that the surveys are pretty realistic cos I feared that stating a salary expectations during interview might either be an overestimate and/or an underestimate of current market salary.
