Default Medical records from various doctors

I'm guessing that when I make the move, that my doctors will give me my records to give to my NZ docs? Is this how it works?

    I don't know -

I've never seen US members mention this.

In the UK, there's a fee to be paid if you want a copy of your records to take with you,

but maybe as you've been paying your US doctors all along,

your file would come up as free!

    Free?

    From my docs?

I could support a third world country with what I pay for in medical costs!

My hospital records cost £50 and were extremely detailed, but my GP printed off summaries for all three of us for free

The US though.. yup, medical costs there = cuckoo!

We just registered last week (after being here for about 3 months) and our hospital said nothing else is required from UK. (Not sure about US though)
