Places to visit on North Island

Planning a week away from 5th January, plans for South Island havent worked out unfortunately -

Hastings - Taupo/Rotorua - Mt Manganui/Tauranga - Coromandel - Hamilton - New Plymouth - Hastings

Anyone recommend places to visit ? Been to Taupo/Rotorua so know what to see there

My dad hopefully gets here 29th December from the UK.

Not sure about other places but Taupo/Rotorua are MUST in north. I only drove through and area is eye catching.

lots but it depends what you like, there is a marori village, thermal geezers, luge, hot springs to bathe, a duck boat, several jet boat rides in both Taupo and rotorua if you search on Rotorua attractions you will come accroos these and lots more

Waitomo - glow-worm caves, and another you can raft through (not far from Rotorua).

North of Auckland - the bays & beaches on the east coast all the way up to Doubtless Bay.

No. Porirua is at the southern end of the Kapiti Coast, according to tons and tons of people I've talked with.

THE only one place on NI is Waitangi - of course- which is unique!!

And on the other side the Kauris on the West coast are "quite" unique too!
