Depends what your sports are fella.... if it is football (and they call it soccer out here) then don't get you expections too high.

no, its not soccer, I am coach for aikido(martial art), I am running my own club
I have experience in many sports such as basketball, tabletennis, tennis, sports recreation
after 2002 I was working in sports companies, associations and departments

how is the situation over there since there is a lot of tourists over the year

are they looking for one who has big experience in sport or consider qualifications

Actually they call it football in NZ and have done for a few years now.

You will of course still meet some people who call it soccer.

You could always start your own club here.

My son enjoys martial arts but the choices here are very limited.

You could always work for an organization like Sport Manawatu: http://www.sportmanawatu.org.nz/

All I will say is I have yet to meet someone who calls it football, and I have been in and around quite a lot of football since I have been here.

I guess that is because you lot up north don't have an actual football team .

Don't have the same problem in Wellington where they know the game.

BTW, my comment was the 'official' word on the subject, it is now officially known as football in NZ even the website was changed can't help it if not all the public have caught up yet.
