Looking for an Au-Pair

Hi there,

we're looking for an Au-Pair (preferably german or finnish speaking) near Tauranga from March 2011.
If anyone has any recommendations - or knows an Au Pair who's looking, please get in touch!

Can anyone recommend an agency to find an au - pair, or do you have any tips&tricks you can share? We're new to this whole thing....

We're also considering PORSE in-home childcare, but it is quite expensive.

Hi Paul,

My wife recently returned to work, so last November we started looking for an au pair.

We considered an au pair service, but in the end we looked at gumtree (www.gumtree.co.nz), we found an experienced Canadian au pair who was working in Australia and wanted to come to NZ.

A few emails, some reference checking and a skype call later, she arrived in January. She's been great. I recommend checking out gumtree.

Hi, haven't had one in NZ, but we had X2 in the UK and used the website

We found that it worked really well and gave us lots of options and our first au pair was so lovely she is now the god mother of my 3rd baby.
