    Default feels like progress

It's been a long time coming and very early stages yet, but we accepted an offer on our house this weekend. Woo hoo.

Feels like the next step in our long plan to get to NZ this year is finally falling in to place.

Not really told anyone yet, as I don't want to jinx it - but good news deserves to be shared somehwere, and where better than here.

We've been on the market 2.5 years - so anyone feeling like giving up, don't. It will happen eventually. Just got to get to exchange now, and we're up to the job hunting stage - so no pressure then then! Ha.

Small update on the progress - surveyor is due on Friday to do the buyers building survey.

If anyone of you could keep your fingers crossed for us that it doesn't affect our sale, that would be grrrrreat! As Tony used to say.

I will keep everything crossed for you! I know that the time between getting your offer and actually getting those contracts signed and exchanged is one of the most stressful parts of the whole journey (or it was for us anyway!). Playing it cool is a good plan. I was not cool, our buyers knew how badly we needed to move and started trying to negotiate the price and even asked us to throw in all our furniture - me and my big mouth! I hope it all goes smoothly for you so that you can start your big adventure at last. Good luck
