    Default Fundraising for ChCh

Next weekend I'm doing Ironman New Zealand in Taupo.

For those of you who don't know what the race involves it's a 3.8km swim, 180km cycle and 42km run, all to be completed within 17 hours.

I've decided to dedicate this race (my fourth IMNZ) to Christchurch by setting up a fundraiseonline page for Red Cross NZ.

If you can please donate to http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/AlisonKing/

    Thank you,

    Alison

What sort of nutter would do something like that? Makes me feel tired just thinking about it. eyes: Although in fairness my donation was not for the race, but for doing it in that god awful yellow costume ;-)

See you a week on Saturday. Have chalk, deckchair, and foghorn all ready ;-)

lol Duncan! And sorry to disappoint but I will most likely not be in yellow.

    Thanks also Lin.

BenandClare - anything to help. I had a former colleague escape The Press building. She only moved down three months ago.

Duncan - way to put the pressure on!

Unsure if sub 14 is on the cards but I'll give it my best shot. I have borrowed some mavic cosmic wheels, now if only I could borrow Cameron Brown's legs...

Good on you, Alison, it feels a bit more 'personal' to do it this way!
And good luck with your race!

I sahll be providing updates from the course, include photos. I don't intened to take a flash for the camera, so Ally is going to have to get her butt in gear and finish in 14 hours.

That'll be tough considering the 2009 result (couldn't find the 2010 one).
