    Unhappy Freight and cost

    Hello
    I am having trouble getting any direct answers from the freight coy's I have contacted so far, regarding basic costs for a 20foot container, al I want is a ball park figure.

    I would just get one or two companies to come and do a quote, it doesn't take long and they don't charge.


    That would give you a good idea, it is difficult to do a rough figure as it depends where you live in relation to the docks, difficulty of access etc etc.


    Also, do a search on this forum for container costs, lots of information around.

    It's not really the cost of the container, it's the packing time that costs them the money. But look at £3-5k

    Hi,

    I rang Crown yesterday & they quoted £4500 for them to pack on a full container door to door or half a container £2826.

    If we packed it would cost £3570 but wouldn't be covered for breakages.

    Insurance is on top of that, there are different coverages for that which I think you can get cheaper elsewhere.

    Other members may be able to tell you where.

    Like you we are costing it out.
