    Default ANZSCO code

    Hi all friends,

    Need someone to advice.

What type of ANZSCO code for Accounts Payable Specialist? Is it 221111 Accountant (General) or 221112 Management Accountant.

Submited ITA in End of May 2010. Until now, no answer. The Officer Incharge email and asked for the clarification about ANZSCO code that I claimed (221111 Accountant (General)).

    Thanks

    hi,

in my opinion, you must have a look at these occupation classifications :-

and mention the one with closest possible match.

Do you have a degree Level 7 in Accounting? Because, "Accounts Payable" matches ANZCO 551111 Accounts Clerk with alternative titles "Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk"

    Hello everyone,
I have recently got my NZQA results with result as bachelor degree level 7 with credit as 480.
I wanted to fill EOI for residency under LTSSL and require ANZSCO code for my occupation.
I am a control systems engineer with 6 years experience in PLC, DCS and safety system programming.
Can anyone help me with suitable ANZSCO code.
Also apart from NZQA will i require any other document to prove my qualification.
Any input will be highly appreciated.

yes I'd agree with that. In any case its the job description and whether it substansially matches that on ANZSCO, that determines whether the application /EOI is likely to be successful. You can't claim to be a degree quailifed accountant if you are only performing an accounts payable role.
551111 is not skilled. (see http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/index.htm Appendix 6)

It looks as if it would be ANZSCO 233513. http://skillshortages.immigration.go...plant-engineer

The IQA will satisfy INZ as to the NZ Level of your qualification. Did it state that it was equivalent to a NZ degree? To get bonus points for the Long Term Skills List that link above states these requirements.
    Required standard

    One of the following qualifications:
    - A relevant Washington Accord accredited undergraduate engineering degree (listed)
    - A relevant qualification comparable to:
    (a) a Bachelor of Engineering (NZQF Level 7), or
    (b) a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (NZQF Level 8)
    - A relevant qualification at NZQF Level 7 or higher with a letter from IPENZ certifying that the degree and any further learning meets the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand
    OR
NZ registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer by the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand.
Apart from that, INZ will check with the university where you got your degree, who will testify that you (named) attended between this date and that date, followed the (whichever) course, and graduated at (whatever) date.

NZQA and/or IPENZ checks the content of the qualification. INZ checks that you, the applicant, followed the course to get the qualification.

    Hello all,

    Good day,

I am wondering if I could apply for an EOI even if my job title is not in the LTSSL but can be seen in ANZCO List. Thank you in advance

To apply for Residence under SMC, your job would need to be on the List of Skilled Occupations http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/35165.htm, and your responsibilities and qualifications would then need to meet the ANZSCO description.
