    Default Useful Quake Contacts

I think there have been lots of useful contacts and info dotted through some of the longer threads, so I thought we could collate them here so those needing them have quick and easy reference.

    Google Person Finder:

Please add any websites, phone numbers etc you think can help

If you can't get on to the Red Cross website to donate money, then you can do it through Grab One:

There's another site to find or register accommodation:

    http://www.quakeescape.org.nz/

I've just added my house here in Lower Hutt; since I've only been here a month I've got plenty of room (albeit limited furniture)!

People in Napier/Hastings can register accommodation here with the councils quake response.

Exclamation "most up-to-date source of information on the earthquake"

    According to INZ http://www.immigration.govt.nz/branc...sionschch.htm:
"For the most up-to-date source of information on the earthquake, people should go to www.civildefence.co.nz or www.canterburyearthquake.org.nz."

    People overseas can donate too:

    http://www.redcross.org.nz/cms_display.php

would you like to donate from overseas?

Our sister national societies in Australia and the UK have set up appeals to help raise much needed funds to support the work of New Zealand Red Cross as we respond to the earthquake in Christchurch.

    •in Australia go to: www.redcross.org.au
•in the United Kingdom go to: www.redcross.org.uk
