    Default Usefull things to take

    Hi
I have lived in New zealand for three years and then the Home sickness became to much, We have been back in England for just over two years and I wonder what I missed ? our flights are now booked we return to NZ in October.

Some things are quite expensive to buy when setting up home, I found it was usefull to take meds even simple things like ibuprofen paracetamol, insect cream simple things can make life easyer etc.

It may be worth taking extra make up.

Under wear is also quite expensive.

as are Rugs and carpets and if you have nice pictures I would advise taking them as well.

Books are also high on my list of things to take.

    I hope this is helpfull.

Hello :-) and welcome to ENZ

That is all helpfull I am leaving for NZ in less than a week,

Another thing I have been told/read that are usefull are extension pluggs to plug uk devices into so u only need to use one NZ adapter and shoes/boots are cheaper to bring rather than buying there :-)

    Hello and welcome.

Where are you heading? And is that where you lived in NZ before?

books, shoes what ever you like tbh I have found the insect cream here may be expensive but it works better than boots and superdrug personal opinion perhaps its made for these horrid NZ bugs lol!

things are getting better here we are on our second round two but still limited choice, (our alarm clock broke this week which had CD player as well every electrical store we went to had the same choice and price none what we wanted but we are used to it now)

Hi we lived near Auckland (Waitoki) last time, and my son is settled in this area but we have no fixed plans as yet and I think it will be work dependant.
