we stayed here with Colin and Mandy and they provide the perfect package for people immigrating. Its in the Albany area but you may struggle to find furnished accommodation as it is not the norm here, most rental property is unfurnished.also people find it hard to find unfurnished property that will take pets so be prepared for a long search to find temp furnished property that will take pets. Do you know (or can you say) what sort of rates are charged here? It just looks like a lot of the furnished places are approaching $1000 per week? Which looks a lot? Or is it just that as your choices are limited when you land (particularly with a young family in tow) you're forced to paying a premium in the short term?
I don't mean to say that people renting these places intentionally take advantage of newcomers with families, but are the longer term rates a lot more favourable than if you're only staying for say a week or two?
