    Default Waiheke Rental

    Hi,

We are looking at buying a 2/3 bed house on Waiheke. In an ideal world we would like to rent it out over the summer months (Dec-Feb) to see if we can get it to pay for its mortgage, but I was wondering what the short term/ holiday rental market was like.

We have heard that summer rents are high on the Island, but it would be good to know if this really in the case or if it is "Real Estate agent speak"!

We are looking to in Palm Beach/ Oneroa area if that helps.

    Many thanks.

    Ben

    Hi
The summer rental market is pretty good over here - especially the 2 weeks after Xmas . 3 bedroom house depending on amenities , etc you could be looking at $250 - $350 plus a night.... Have a look at the these websites ..

    www.waihekeaccom.co.nz
    www.waihekeholidayhomes.co.nz
    www.bookabach.co.nz

Bear in mind these houses are at winter rates at the moment.....

So it is true what the estate agents are saying ....
