Hi,

Was trying to look for HR relevant jobs in NZ but seems to be very very difficult.


Most of the employer required local HR experience, however, if no one give me the 1st step chance, how do I gain local HR experience?


All job applications I applied was rejected, even for Junior positions.


Not given chance for interviews.


Why?


(I hope is not partially because of discrimination)


I've 4 years HR generalist experience from Singapore and read NZ employment law


- at least can pick up fast if given a chance.


Any NZ HR professionals can provide advice?

NZ is quite fond of SG's achievement and SG working experience is highly appreciated. In my opinion, to find a job in here is much harder than finding one in SG/KL. It is the industry. Your career line requires strong local knowledge. L

i found the same, recruitment agencies advised that I would be unlikely to get job in HR as didn't have relevant NZ based HR experience.
