I think once the wonderment of the move and the new experiences settle into new life, it becomes an exercise in refinement to assess what you have gained and equally, lost.. and to then create happiness within those parameters.

Willsken, my son did the same, arriving at AKL at about midnight with his wife and two little children, who then had to wait while Immigration decided what to do with him - argh! (They gave him a 12-hour permit to let him go home and then report to the office downtown in the morning to sort things out.)
