Hello every one ,
We are new to this forum & have joined the forum so that we get we acquainted and informed.
To briefly introduce ourself , My Name is Vikram originally from India , but currently working & residing in Bahrain. After a lot of considerations me & my wife have finally zeroed down to moving to NZ.
I have been working for the past 10 years in the filed of media & Advertising - Specifically media planning & my wife is a secondary school teacher , we have a daughter who is 15 months old.
We have a couple of questions & are hoping that the answers to some of them will definitely help us out here
Question 1 : Although I as a primary applicant score a 100 points - my work is not listed in the Immediate or Long Term Skill Shortage Lists , so the only way I guess we can make this possible to is to seek an employment offer ( which I have now realized is kind of difficult ) - so my question here is Can we still process our papers without having a job Offer & keeping in mind that my work is not listed in the immediate or Long Term Skill Shortage Lists?
Question 2 : In my process of applying to various companies for a job offer what I have understood is that even if I do get a job offer , I will have to take a step back in terms of the position & compensation package , As NZ experience is must & that's what all employers seek , Now this we understand & are okay with this part . Will NZ$ 70,000 gross salary be okay for us ( A family of 3 ) to manage for the 1st 2 years in NZ ?
Question 3 : if we do manage to secure a job offer - What is the approach we should adopt , Should we take the PR route or should we take the WTR route , What We think is that it would be best to take the WTR route as the employer will certainly not wait that long till the PR is granted ( considering that my work is not listed in the immediate or Long Term Skill Shortage Lists )
How long does it take to apply from WTR to PR ?
Question 4 : Lastly my most important question - Is there any one on this forum who is in the advertising / Media industry with whom I could connect & seek help in securing contacts within the Industry.
We have our mind & heart set in moving to NZ & we are hoping & keeping all fingers crossed that we can make this possible , Any kind of opinions & answerers for you would definitely help & assist us.
Looking forward for your responses
Thanks
Vikram
