Looking for info on Rolleston

Hi

We are hoping to come to NZ either the end of 2011 or beg 2012 and are thinking of Rolleston. My partner will be working in Chch and we wondered how long the commute would be roughly from Rolleston to Chch. We have 3 kids so also need to find out about schools in the local area. We would be grateful for any info. Many thanks.

hey there, i guess it takes around 30 mins from Rolleston to City Center

i stayed near Rangiora and it took me almost the same but it all depends on traffic

I haven't been to Rolleston but we do have friends who have lived there for the last 4 years. Its a newish town with mostly 3 / 4 beds. Our friends kids go to the High school at Lincoln.

I think this might be because you can't get broadband here. Unless you look far into the future. They have quoted us a year on the waiting list........down to 5 months now (but that's an educated guess)!

Rolleston.......the Town which may get internet sometime in the future.

Have you looked into satellite? I'd be interested to know what you think about other options if you're still hanging on for the wireless bb deal.

Yes , we're on Scorch, $104 per month and 10 Gb. We pay $3.50 a month to keep the 'line " live for when it becomes available

My Stepmonster lives in Rolleston. Reason enough to stay away I reckon!!!!!!
