    Default Dried beans?

In the US we can get big bags of dried beans. I was unable to find them in the Auckland area when I was there in April. I searched Pak'n Save top to bottom. Any leads on these? In the US at least they are very economical especially vs can beans. Less sodium too.

Hmmm, looks like there is one in Mount Albert. Any idea of the price on beans?

Sophie's right - best place for that sort of thing, however we get stuff online quite often at NZ Nature, Healthy Online etc. Pak N Save have the least amount of variety too being the cheapo supermarket over here, so you're probably not best off using them as a source of what's available over here. Trying a large Countdown might be better.

A fantastic range of different kinds of pulses, rice, spices and other ingredients is to be found at Khyber Foods and Spices, 2020, Great North Road, Avondale. http://maps.google.co.nz/maps?hl=en&...ed=0CBsQnwIwAA

Well that settles it. My daughter-in-law will never want to go to NZ if she can't buy big bags of dry pinto beans! She makes great Mexican food with them.
