    Default Changes in Immigration Rules

Just checked INZ, criteria appears to have changed from today for LTSSL for nurses:
Need 3 years experience plus nursing registration - anyone know if it's post registration experience?

Also INZ are taking points off for qualifications; down from 50 to 40 for nursing diploma.

Submitted EoI a week ago, now wondering if we'll be selected this week.

We can't change anything...INZ is a big machine...so no point worrying, I suppose....just slightly disheartened...

Your case will be assessed under the rules that were in force at the time it was received by INZ - they always do this when there is any change.

Ah, I thought that because the next draw isn't til tomorrow the changes would be relevant from that particular draw and have an impact upon our case.

That’s terrible news. We were planning on having my wife apply as the primary once she gets her two years experience in January. Now I'm not sure what we'll do. WTR is an option, though it lacks the security of a PR. We are very sad by this new development.
I understand they are two very different countries but Australia may have to be considered at this point.
