Default Good Full Serviced Apartments in Auckland CBD?

Has anyone been to The Quadrant before.. is it a good place to stay?
    Or, Bianco off Queen Apartment?

Are there any others you'd recommend that have a kitchenette, close to the inner harbour, quiet building, SAFER AREA, and about $120-150/night NZ?

Reading reviews online is interesting as there is a such a mix of horrible tales and how fabulous it is. Very difficult to decide not knowing the area. Thanks.

Just one bedroom, semi-furnished. It doesn't need to be an apartment. :-)

Char, having the name of the town in the header is beneficial for the reader.

I assume you are talking about AKL?

    Yes it is Auckland!
Too late to edit now too.
And for longer term I'm looking for a $300-$400/week price range.

$130 will get you a room at the Rendezvous in the CBD. May get even lower if you are looking at a couple of weeks rent (although depends when, is this during the RWC?). Not sure if their suites have a kitchen area, can't remember.

I woiuldn't recomend the CityLife - suite we had there was exceptionally noisy even though it ws up very high - no sleep.

We stayed at Quest on upper Queen Street for a couple of weeks in April. The apartment and staff were very nice, though it was a bit noisy due to road works going on at the time outside and drunk people on the street in the weekend. Availabilitywise it might be somewhat slim pickings for hotels and serviced apartments with the RWC in September/October though, so do bare that in mind.

I have stayed in Bianco Off Queen for 2 weeks.. Very close to Aotea square (centre of Queen street in CBD). Not on the queen street, so not that noisy as well. Apartment is very clean and staff is also very friendly. Highly recommended !!

But it wasnt that expensive as you quoted (when I stayed 5 months back). I believe it was $80.00 incl breakfast (cereals + milk + juice will always be in stock in your fridge).
If you ask me will I go back again, yes I would
