    Default Redundancy clause

Do most jobs include a clause for compensation in the case of redundancy, or would you normally just get paid your notice?

Thanks. From that I conclude that it is up to the individual to negotiate their own redundancy clause. The phrase "There is little information available on redundancy provisions in individual employment agreements" is particularly unenlightening

    No, not really.

That along with reduced annual leave is one of the downsides to employment over here.

Sick leave is 'different' too, where it is generally allowed to cover for looking after sick to partners / kids too and many people tend to use the full annual sick leave allowance or consider it wasted.

I was discussing this with a kiwi yesterday morning as it happens.
