Just been in NZ 3 weeks and looks like I have a job in Hamilton.
Missing my UK 5 a side football I used to play twice a week - anyone have any ideas or know anyone?
Not getting anywhere - even google NZ guides me to Hamilton in Scotland...

Quite a few of our office play in a series of teams. So there is stuff there.
Drop into the Soccer Shop on Kahakatia Drive and see Shane or Alex. Ask about Star Soccer and they'll see you right. Tell them Kim sent you.
In the meantime if your looking for more competitive footy, then drop me a PM as we are looking for players for next season down in Te Awamutu. We play Federation football in WaiBop. I am the assistant coach to them, as well as the GK coach

Cheers Kim.
Is your team 5 a side/indoor or 11 a side?
Its 11 a side
Waikato University have 5 a side indoor soccer.
Thanks all - took a job in Christchurch in the end, so about to put up a new post about football there...
Hi, searching this site for football advice. may be moving to Hamilton in July, I'll be 24 then been playing since I was 6, what sort of level is around Hamilton you know? Is it widespread at all or are there a few leagues? 11-a-side.
Thanks!! Mark
All depends what standard you are looking for. Hamilton boasts 3 teams in Northern league, one in Premiership, Hamilton Wanderers...http://hamiltonwanderers.co.nz/ and 2 in the 1st Division, Melville...http://www.melvilleunited.co.nz/ and Ngaruawahia..http://ngaruawahiasoccer.co.nz/ (was GK coach to these last season). These teams often bring in semi pro's from UK and other parts of World. Apart from this you have the Waikato leagues, and plenty of clubs there for you to take a look at. Click on the WaiBop link and take a look around the site, any questions then just ask. I am the GK Coach to the WaiBop Federation...http://www.waibopfootball.co.nz/
