Hi All,
I am an engineering recruiter, unlike many of the people in my industry I have no worries about recruiting engineers from overseas - find the right skills then worry about where they are and if we can get a work permit!!
Right now I need a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for a supervisors role in the waikato, spoke to a client who is always on the look out for fibre optics engineers / technicians - is currently recruiting from Malaysia for those..
Control Systems engineers with production machinery design experience - sorry not a technicians or service engineer role.
Refrigeration or HVAC qualified people - service engineers x 2, project engineer with design and site supervision experience.
Building Services senior draftsperson /CAD manager - Must have REVIT MEP and have worked in a consultancy and managed a small team.
HV engineers and line mechanics - substation design, linework, protection engineers etc.
There appears to be a lot of CAD operators applying for roles lately including including several who have been self employed contractors - so defintiely a downturn in that area at present.
The construction industry and the industries / services and consultants that supply them are slow - everyone waiting for Christchurch to kick off although that could be quite some time away.
Manufacturing seems to be 'optimistic' although with an election looming then xmas, we are entering a traditionally slower time - feedback seems to be "ring back next year - things happening then.."
PM me for more info.
