Default Time Limit for Shipping Personal Belongings?

Is there a time limit for shipping personal belongings into NZ duty free?

I ask this because we haven't figured out where we want to live and so don't know where to ship our stuff to yet.

We are planning on spending a few months traveling around both islands before we finally settle down, so we will be homeless for more than a few days.

At the moment our best guess is that we will end up on the South Island, but we don't know till we get there!

It is years they allow. I moved to NZ in 2007 and finally had my things shipped here last year with no problems.

I had a quick look yesterday and can't find any definite answer! It might be worth emailing Customs to get a definite answer!

I didn't come across anything specific around timeline for shipping personal goods, just keep documents (like receipts etc of goods in your shipment as supporting document just in case customs ask for it)
