    Yes, you might start a company in Belarus easily, but keeping it going might be tougher. Their overall ranking for ease of doing business was 69!

    But New Zealand's overall ranking of third, combined with top billing for ease of starting a business, is something to be very proud of. If I may quote from the article:

    According to the study, the "one-stop" shop approach, where most of the government agencies that a start-up needs are linked online, keeps the country on top
    I happen to know that the software behind that "one-stop shop" is 100% New Zealand designed and maintained and the company responsible now have orders from Australia, Canada and other countries. It's a great sign that NZ is diversifying its economy and competing globally in new markets.
