    Default finding a GST no??

This is a massive shot in the dark, but does anyone know how to find an organisation's GST no?

(of course I could go into work at the weekend to locate this particular bit of info, but I'm hoping to save myself a trip!!)

Obviously this would be a very individual thing, but - might not some put it on their website?

That's far too logical! (at least in this case)

Some even don't put it on their invoices!

    Yup, I can believe that!

It's no use, Sophie, you're just going to have to go in to work.

That includes my current workplace.. The invoices also lack numbers, bank details and a timeframe within which payment should be made.

Not that we issue many invoices - probably 2 a month? - but I fully intend to create a template, tracking sheet and *shock!horror* FOLDER (on or offline) in which PDFs/print-outs of the things are kept, uneditable. Because yes, our current invoicer just types new ones over the old.

It does my head in. Just a little bit.

(and in a few weeks I get my first auditor visit. hopefully she will see the changes that have been made - like... OMG... checking till contents against till roll before banking?!?! - and give us leeway on the ones we know must still be made!)

I was going to suggest seeing if the 'Companies Office' http://www.business.govt.nz/companies, but its offline until tomorrow morning, apparently.

Good luck with the audit, too!

Sounds as if it's bound to be obvious, Sophie!
