Registered Disabled???

Hi,

My wife has had issues with her hands for a few years now and the doctor wants to register her disabled as she cannot work in his opinion.

Would this effect any visa application if she was registered as disabled.

She is only 35 and otherwise in excellent health as I am myself at 36.

I told her to hold off in case it effects any visa application, what are your thoughts please?

From my own experience just having the official status of being disabled does not affect your application/decision.

It is about the medical and then subsequently the financial consequences (I)NZ is concerned about.

You may check the medical form (INZ 1007) if your wife's disability is likely to be an issue or not.
