Default FREE Internet phonecalls...YOU can call home anytime anyday!

    Dear all,

This is NOT advertisement. Absolutely FREE and no sales gimmick. I receive no benefit.

Have you all heard of skype ? Just go to www.skype.com and check them out.

Get yourself on internet...preferably broadband (better sound quality).

Get your love ones in UK, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, HK, China, South Africa, Netherland, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines
....anywhere in the world where they can get internet.....onto skype. Invest in a relatively cheap earphone cum microphone.

Then you can talk to each other FREE as long as both parties are on the internet !! Talk for as long as you want !!

This FREE phone service is also available on Yahoo Messenger (BETA) but so far, I have difficulty getting it to work. The best FREE talk so far is still skype.com :P

Beware...sometimes, you may get echoes or buzz or bad feeback or long delay in hearing the other person talk.... :?

With skype.com, we can also make calls to normal phone but that costs money....however still cheaper than normal mobile phone, normal phone, phone cards and IDD charges....etc etc.

With Yahoo, you can also fix a webcam. I have yet to do that.
With skype, I am not so sure about webcam..... :cool

I'm just wondering. Can anyone explain what the difference is between Skype and MSN Messenger. MSN also has an audio option, even though I haven't been able to try that yet. Does it work the same as Skype and does it have the same quality?

For starters, with Skype you can call a landline and, if you are online people can call you with their landline.

I've found that there is a bit more latency with MSN audio; Sykpe is closer to a normal telephone conversation.
As Skype doesn't offer video yet I use MSN for video only with Skype alongside for the audio when chatting to friends in Perth.
    Cheers,

I have just downloaded the latest Yahoo Messenger PC to PC calling and it is very easy to contact your friends and loved ones online and its free. I wonder how the telephone companies can still get good business these days with advanced technology.
