One day until the big day

So, the time has almost arrived until the big day. We set off for NZ tomorrow! We have a few days in Dubai - some much needed sun before winter in windy Welly - en route.

The shipping co. (PSS) came last Thursday and got us all packed up in a day, despite the horrendous weather. No complaints about PSS to date, but I guess the proof will be when we see the state of our worldly possessions the other end. Fingers and toes crossed!

We exchanged contracts on our house on Friday, so good to know the sale (to a Kiwi couple!) is now safe although it will be another month until we complete.

Just the suitcases - and there are quite a few of them! - to fine tune packing now. Now to find a sherpa to help us carry it all...

We used PSS and all our household possessions arrived safely.

My wife was there in the UK to ensure that everything got packed while I was already working in Auckland. Then when the container arrived she also ensured that everything was delivered while I was working in Wellington. I never had to involve myself with the shipping until we moved to Waimauku and our own property.

By with way, we still have one or two boxes that still haven't been unpacked!

Lol - we've been to NZ and come back and STILL have some unpacked boxes. They will probably follow us back when we return in 2 years.
