Work Visa To PR

Hello Frds,
I will complete my Early childhood education level 7 course in July 2012. This ECE teaching job has been removed from LTSSL in Dec 2011. I will get a Permanent Job offer as a ECE teacher once i will finish my education I have managed to secure that. My question is after getting a job will i get a PR as my field is no more in LTSSL. I have calculated my points around 140 + job offer. what are my chances to get the PR.

Hi

The ECE removal from LTSSL won't affect your eligibility to apply for PR as ECE remains a skilled occupation. My wife was in the exact situation as yourself and her residence application is now being processed and is at the case officer stage. Also, my understanding is that if you are on a job search visa or an open work visa/permit at the time you apply for skilled employment such as ECE, the employer won't have to make a labour check before offering you the job.
