quick question... re payment

Just a quick question.. Do they take payment for the visa before they even look though the application or at the end after it has been processed??

A friend of mine just lodged her residency application and they took payment 2 days after they recieved the paperwork.

The payment is not regarded as paying for the visa - it's paying for the application to be considered, whatever the outcome.

You pay to apply, and then pay again when you've been approved in principal (migrant levy).
