Default What would you fill boxes with?

If you could fill just two packing cases with things you could buy at a Costco (US) or Cash-n-carry, what would you choose in retrospect?

    Sunblock?
    Vitamins?
    OTC medications?

Would love to hear what people who have come to NZ think.

I am not sure what those specific shops sell or what the prices are like, but my list would include books, shoes and toiletries with a long shelf-life such as toothpaste and shampoo. And more books.

I would just get things you think you will use. Pretty much any item for sale at Costco is cheaper there than you will pay for it in New Zealand. You can get most everything you need in New Zealand but there aren't any stores that have what Costco has at that price. Like Cliff bars. Available but much cheaper at Costco. And if you like a particular brand of something, it might be hard to find. For example Tums. I haven't seen those here but I brought a big container that still has some in it so I haven't been looking too much.

    1. What do these shops(?) have on offer/ in stock?
    2. What is the volume of these cases?
    3. What is the weight limit to these cases?

Anyway I endeavour living with what is available. Similar with my distant relocations within my former home country, where the offer/stock is different from region to region. So why bother?!

Let's just keep this blue sky and brainstormy...things you regret not taking due to cost. Those that have been through it know what they should have bought. 2 ordinary packing cases. Don't over-engineer it.

Nothing then! We brought all our household and a little more with us!

Things we couldn't bring were not allowed to be imported.

BTW: And yes I am an engineer! So some things just need to be defined...

I'm a scientist by background too. Resist those urges! There's a practical element to this. Sunblock defo. I almost fainted in March with the cost of sunscreen on the North Shore albeit from a tony pharmacy. Will need industrial size quantities for the nippers. What else is insanely expensive in NZ that you really need?
