Hey everyone, just after some advice please.

My pallet of personal goods is due some point this week and just after others advice on how the process works.

Ive spoken to a chap at customs who gave me a slight panic, he said the entry fee was $3807... Said How much?? then he said no $38.07... huge sigh of relief! I said the stuff on the pallet isnt even worth all that!

He said to bring visa, passport, inventory, shipping details and money.

All the stuff is in clear boxes and have been used before, bringing some food into NZ just stuff from cupboards that didnt get thrown out cos they was still in date and everything is still sealed so should be fine.

The chap at customs said i have to go to the airport and not the port to collect it, so im assuming it gets transported from port to airport to be scanned and then searched (if they feel the need to?)
I have a transport company pre arranged to deliver this to my address here in chch. I guess i contact them as soon as its been cleared.
Im aware of charges if they open boxes etc, is there any other hidden charges or things i might not have been told about?

Advance thank you for all replies.
