Work Experience : Absolute Skills Shortage and Identified Future Growth
Hi JandM,
I would like to seek your opinion regarding for claiming points of work experience in absolute Skills Shortage and Identified Future Growth. If your work experience is in identified future growth area and at the same time in an area of absolute skills shortage; are you able to claim points separately ? Im a little bit confused whether one category only you can claim a point between the two.
Work experience in skilled employment:
And if the work experience is in an identified future growth area:
10 points: 2 to 5 years experience
15 points: 6 or more years experience.
And if the work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage:
10 points: 2 to 5 years
15 points: 6 or more years.
Thanks.
Jeremy

You can't claim points for work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage unless you have a job, or job offer, in NZ. Go to Residence » Skilled Migrant Category » SM13 Bonus points: work experience in an identified future growth area or an area of absolute skills shortage » SM13.10 Work experience in an identified future growth area at http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/.
