Default 4 years here and still loving it

Well, loving it all except for the damp Waikato winter weather which is just beginning to be a pain.... apart from that life is good.

Kids all happy here, DD 2 going back to Uk over Xmas, for 1st time since we've been here, on her own, otherwise we've been lucky in that family have come here to see us. We don't miss UK or our old life and found ourselves cheering on NZ just as much ( if not more) as GB in the Olympics.

Both OH and I still on fixed term contracts which is a slight worry.

Still love the fact that no-one cares what car you drive, what you wear, love how cheerful supermarket staff are, how trusting some people are (going to baches where key is left on kitchen table and door is open), how positive people are......

Lots more of NZ we want to see...S Island here we come in Xmas hols......but the house swaps we've done to Oz have shown us that NZ is home as we've always felt very pleased to return.

What a great post! I need to see that kinda post right about now as the house is being packed up. It is a little scary.

I started off that way but in the end the commentators annoyed me so much that I went the other way on some sports - spcially rugby.

Agree with you about positive people though. Much more of a can-do attitude in New Zealand.
