Apply for NZ visit visa while ITA submitted?

Dear All,

I submitted my ITA around 5 months ago. Can I apply for NZ visit visa? I have heard that we do have any restrictions that we cannot apply or visit NZ while ITA is in progress but I am not sure?

I think you'll have to ask INZ this one. I can see lots of places in the regulations where it says it's permitted to apply for Residence while in NZ on a visitor's visa, but nothing mentioning the other way round!
