Can you please help me to prepare "to-do list" after arriving in NZ?

- IRD
- Bank Accounts
- Registering to doctors
- WINZ

That is a great initiative..it would be great if someone could share checklists, to-do lists etc for things to be done even before leaving for NZ.. residence arrangement, funds transfer, budget preparation etc. I am SFV holder and planning to travel for NZ in Feb 2013.

Those are the main items to do once you are here, but you will also need to find a home (which takes time), car, get internet, and phone. And before you leave you may need to get a copy of your transcripts from your university(been asked that since I have been here), health records, stop all automatic billing, sell cars, sell or rent out your house, find shipping company, forward mail to a friend who is willing to handle it for you etc. This is just a starter list, there are plenty other items, but this will get you started. May want to add:

1. Contact Settlement Support New Zealand in your area
2. Apply for driver's licence
3. Set up a New Zealand post box for your mail
