Wattle Bay is located at the tip of the Awhitu Peninsula.................(3 red arrows pointing), about 90 mins drive.

Between Awhitu Peninsula on bottom left and Auckland City on the top right is Manukau Harbour

    OK, this is Wattle Bay.....................

Please do not mistaken, Wattle Bay and Wattle Cove are not the same location.

Wattle Bay in Awhitu Peninsula, is under Franklin District.
Wattle Cove in Wattle Downs Peninsula, is under Manukau District
Between Awhitu Peninsula and Wattle Downs Peninsula is the Manukau Harbour

Across the water from Wattle Cove, we could see the Awhitu Peninsula............

Whenever we go for our coastal walks in the weekends, we will see Awhitu peninsula across the water. We are intrigue with this rural part of Greater Auckland and so, we embark on a 90 mins drive to explore this place.

I remembered kiwidebs mentioned about Wattle Bay and I'm curious to see that place.

When we were driving on certain part of the peninsula, we do not see any car for about 20 mins. My hubby was telling me that he would not be able to find his way home if we do not have a GPS to guide us.

When we drove down south from Wattle Bay for about 10 mins, we reached this place by the beach, with a 18-hole golf course next to it.................

and we learned something from here......................
