visa for spouse
hi there
this is david .
i have a question about visa for spouse .
my wife got her master in urban planning recently and she wants to apply for PHD in new zealand .
i heard that spouse of PHD students in new zealand can get unlimit work visa .
is it correct ?
can we apply for permanent resident after her phd finished ?
i have pilot license and some computer certificate as well .
can i find job there ?

If your wife is accepted on a higher degree course that qualifies, you should be eligible for an open work visa that would match her student visa for length of time, yes. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...milystream.htm (Scroll down to Your partner holds a New Zealand student visa.)
What she (and you) would do after that would depend on what offers she got at that point. She can check out the Study to Work section. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...y/studytowork/ There is a Graduate Job Search Visa, if she didn't have anything in hand straight away, but if she had a job offer, she could apply directly for Residence, or the Graduate Work Experience Visa.
