    Default Power prices

We're about to get another round of 10% rises in electricity and gas prices in the UK. Both are up 20% in the last couple of years. It's a worldwide thing I suppose. Are you seeing big price hikes in New Zealand just now?

Power is definitely more expensive but I don't feel like it's been a huge hike. We are probably talking similar numbers. We're a low user home so don't feel price changes as much as a higher user would.

NZ had a major price increase earlier in the year:

I'm not surprised for those living in Nelson having to pay $800/month winter electricity. Old houses will become obsolete as newer energy efficient homes are being built.
