    How much does it cost to take children to visit GP?

    People I knew had really young kids and it was free for them.

    It depends on your GP. Children under 6 are free at my GP. The fee for children 6-17 is $31. Adults are $35. It really depends on where you live and what Dr you register with.

    Depends. (I was going to say I seem to be the queen of 'depends' today, but that sounds like a completely different issue ).

    Between $16 (funded, under six) to $40 (funded, under 17), and between $35 and $60 unfunded at our GP practice.

    You can shop around for this.

    This seems a little strange kiwieagle. Is there a mixture of GPs with some working in the public sector and some in the private sector?

    All GP practices are private businesses, so are entitled to set their fee levels themselves. http://www.health.govt.nz/yourhealth...isiting-doctor

    It's $17 for adults to see the doc at our practice, $12 for school kids and free for under 6's. Funded scripts are $3 per item.
